Earlier recognized with the name of Subordinate Services Commission, the Staff Selection Commission was formulated in 1975 by government of India. Having its headquater at New Delhi, SSC aims at recruiting candidates for various Indian government departments and for its subordinate offices. As the organisation conduct examination on the wide network, it has various centres located at different parts of the country. In India, SSC provides more than 75% government jobs.
The prime function of the SSC is to conduct examinations and interviews for the recruitment under Group “B”, non technical Group “C” and Group “D” posts for various Indian Government Ministries and Departments.
Govt Exams conducted by Staff Selection Commission :-
Staff Selection Commission of India conducts the Combined Graduate Level Examination, (SSC CGL) and Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination (SSC CHSL) for the recruitment of the services/ posts in the various Government offices, departments and ministries across the country.
